All About Our Set Routine Events
Jazz & Lyrical Choreographed Set Routines
We offer 5, pre choreographed set routines in Lyrical, and 5 pre choreographed set routines in Jazz.
Dance 1 is the easiest and dance 5 is the hardest.
Once a deposit has been paid the routines will be sent to you (the teacher) to decide which dancers learn which routines, this is completely your decision. A 3 year old could do dance 5 (if they really could!) and an 18 year old could do dance 1! We are predominantly a recreational, once a week – beginner dancer event, and we encourage dance schools to only take these dancers to our events.
Jazz & Lyrical Improvisation
Alongside this we also offer an Improvisation Section for Lyrical and Jazz.
Class dancer – never competed Improvisation in that genre before at a competition.
Beginner – have competed it before but don’t regularly place.
Elite – your festival/associate course/high placing dancers – these sections usually only have 1 or 2 dancers in, being a recreational-beginner event company.
We send out a playlist for Lyrical and a playlist for Jazz, then it will be one song on those playlists chosen on the day, different for every heat/age/genre.
Duos
Finally, we have the Duos section. These can be teacher choreographed, must be 4 counts of 8 and easily able to loop continuously (for example, finishing in their starting position) We send out a playlist for Lyrical and a playlist for Jazz, then it will be one song on those playlists chosen on the day.

Our set routines are split into three sections:
Section One 10-16 years
Section Two 3-6 years
Section Three 7-9 years
We aim to start our events at 08:30am.

Booking Portal
We have our very own Royals Booking Portal coming into action in April, you will be given a link to login and you can enter all of your students, their D.O.B.s and what they’re competing on the portal.
The cut off will be 10 days before the competition and we will not be making any amendments to any of your entries on the day of the competition so it is imperative that all the D.O.B.s, Set Routines, Improvisation and Duo information is correct. We will remove dancers from the system on the day of the competition if they are unable to compete.
The Venue
We run all of our set routine events at Pendle Leisure Centre in Colne.
Certificates of Achievement
At all of our events and festivals each child gets a certificate of achievement.
For our set routine events we have “The Royals Outstanding Competitor Award“.
We find that these little added touches to our events and festivals are very special to our schools.
Food and Drink
We do have hot and cold food and drink on offer at our Set Routine Events. We sell lots of tasty snacks as well as sandwiches, pot noodles, cup of soups and toasties!
Merchandise
We have our very own branded Merchandise on sale on the day. Gorgeously coloured hoodies, Royals Bows, Crop tops & t shirts will all be available to purchase on the day!
